Will my father need to install anything?
No. Alfaaz meets him on WhatsApp, where he already is. He can reply with a voice note in a familiar place. No new app, no password, no elder account.
What if he does not reply or engage?
Alfaaz waits. It tries again gently, days later, with a softer prompt. You can change the first topic, the time of day, or pause for as long as you like. And if after 30 days he has not engaged, we refund the full $50. No questions asked.
Can he pause or stop?
Yes. He can skip a question, pause for weeks, or stop entirely. The point is to make remembering feel gentle, never like homework.
What languages does Alfaaz support?
Hindi, Indian English, Marathi, Telugu, and Bengali today, with natural Hindi/Hinglish mixing, family words, and names supported. So a father in India who already uses WhatsApp can answer in his own language. More Indic languages are being validated based on family demand.
What happens right after I pay?
An Alfaaz invite arrives at the email you used at checkout. After you sign up, onboarding walks you through adding your father, choosing his language, and preparing the first WhatsApp message. You can send it the moment you are ready.
Can I choose the first story topic?
Yes. Onboarding helps you prepare the first voice-note prompt, so you can start with a memory he will actually want to answer rather than a generic question. Many fathers open up first about work, a first job, or the place they grew up.
Can my siblings join the gift?
Yes. Once you sign up, you can invite siblings to read the memoir, listen to his voice notes, and add prompts of their own. The gift becomes something the whole family contributes to.
Is this only a gift for me, or for him too?
It is for both. He gets gentle WhatsApp prompts that make him feel remembered. You get the archive that grows from his answers: original audio, transcripts, story summaries, and life chapters. Father's Day is the reason. The archive is the keepsake.
What happens after the five months?
Nothing automatic. Five full months of Alfaaz for $50, then it stops. No subscription, no surprise charge, no auto-renew. Near the end, we will email you a choice: continue at $25/month, extend with another five-month gift, or stop and keep the archive built so far.
Will our family stories train AI models?
No. Alfaaz does not use your family's voice notes, transcripts, or stories to train AI models, and we do not sell stories for advertising.
