Which Indian languages does Alfaaz support?
Alfaaz currently supports Hindi, Indian English, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali, Tamil, and Gujarati for live elder conversations. Hindi can include natural Hinglish code-mixing.
Can my parent mix English words into an Indian language?
Yes. Names, places, school terms, work terms, and other natural English words can stay inside the answer. Each elder has one primary language, but ordinary code-mixing is expected.
Does Alfaaz translate my parent's story into English?
Alfaaz transcribes and organizes the story, while preserving the original voice recording. The current family archive is built around keeping what the elder actually said, not replacing it with an English-only version.
How does Alfaaz make each language sound respectful?
Each supported language has a reviewed conversation contract covering script, spoken register, elder honorifics, kinship words, natural code-mixing, and common closure phrases. The interviewer follows that contract when asking questions.
